Thoughts Are Powerful

"Thoughts are more powerful than actions"
is my six words for SWS challenge this week.

It is thoughts that create our emotions which then lead to our actions! So managing our thoughts is one of the key to success.Affirmations are effective in moulding our thoughts. This thought inspires me to create my Daily Positive Affirmation Cards - Affirmart cards series to share everyday .

Positive Attitude Motivational Poster print
Positive Attitude Motivational Poster

Our attitude plays an important role in how we tackle the events that happen during the day.A positive attitude helps you see the finer things that have gone right even in situations that make us lose hope.Quotes on positive attitude guide us with interesting points that are worth remembering when our attitude turns negative.
Positive attracts positive and it is our positive attitude that helps us make a difference not only in our life but also in the lives of people who are part of our life.

Blogging - a way to renew myself

'Blogging - a way to renew myself ' -my six word quote for this week.

This week marks one year of blogging at Affirmart and it has been an enriching experience.

I have explored new ideas and had the opportunity to express and share my views.

I started with Affirm-mantra,self affirmation statements, which helped me share my art and affirmations.

Creating the power words alphabet series,a motivational word and artwork each week ,was a project which I loved creating and was appreciated a lot.I hold the words of  Jan  and Holly on this series very special. They encouraged me every week and their suggestion that I should make it into a book made my day!

Wednesday wishes at Jamie's wishcasting  set me to think of answers to questions which I normally would not do.

Joining 6wordsaturday at show my face has helped me review my week in a positive light .

Every sunday was a day to share and to enjoy the word of wisdom at Sunday citar.

Blogging has introduced me to wonderful bloggers whose works inspire, motivate and guide me.My heartfelt thanks to all  for visiting my blog and the encouraging comments.

Beautiful White Lace Thank You Card card

Blessings for abundance,

Six word quote-positive attracts positive, negative attracts negative!

This Six word quote-positive attracts positive, negative attracts negative reminds you to be careful of your attitude and thoughts.

Our thoughts are very important in determining how we react to our day and the events that happen.

A positive attitude created by our thoughts will make us feel happy and enjoy the day.We will accept whatever happens and learn from the experience.A negative attitude on the other hand will make you anxious and fill you with doubts and bitterness.

When we are pleasant to someone the feeling is reciprocated. This holds true for the negative action too!

When we are positive our actions are geared to making it come true and the effect snowballs to make it a pleasant day while starting the day on a bad note makes it go from bad to worse.

Thanks to thehappyself for inspiring this post.

So,take charge of your thoughts and attitude as positive attracts positive, negative attracts negative!

Defuse stress and experience greater calm

3 Word Quote-Just Do It-inspirational magnet magnet

"Defuse stress and experience greater calm"

My 6 words for 6WS at show my face.

This is the 6 words of wisdom I learnt this week as I was creating my squidoo lens meditation challenge week-2.This is my 2nd lens on the 28 day meditation challenge conducted at awake is good by Janice Lynne Lundy.

These words are by Sharon Salzberg, one of the inspiring meditation teachers Jan introduced us to.

Why Meditate?

Meditation helps us on many levels, from simple relaxation to freedom from suffering and full liberation of heart and mind. It allows us to:

* defuse stress and experience greater calm
* explore the mind-body relationship
* connect to our feelings
* expand our sense of who we are, beyond our fears and self-judgment
* find genuine happiness
* discover inner resources that can change our everyday lives
* awaken our capacity for insight and wisdom
* transform our worldview from one of isolation and confusion to one of connection, clarity and compassion
* broaden our perspective and deepen our courage, based on seeing things just as they are

(Thanks to Sharon Salzberg, IMS co-founder and guiding teacher)

Insight Meditation: A Step-By-Step Course on How to Meditate is an exceptional tool for beginning meditation.

The Path To Serenity

Motivating others postcard
Motivating others by semas87

The path to serenity is shown to us by Lao-Tzu....

"Do your work,then step back,
The only path to serenity."

My six words of wisdom this week for Show My Face is from this quote...

'Do your work,then step back'

We often forget to do this and get overwhelmed without stepping out for a breather. This often leads to mistakes that could have been avoided.

As Marianna Williamson rightly says...

"how many times have we made a mistake that effected the rest of our life, simply because we made it,when we were moving too fast,at the effect of our stress, anger or fear".

Wishing all a great weekend,
sema

Values are not taught but caught

Hay House, Inc. 250x250

"Values are not taught but caught"

(I painted this cute boy in corel-photo-paint)

These were the words of wisdom that I learnt at a workshop for parents at my daughter's school this week. And it is my 6 words for 6WS at ShowMyFace.

The following quotation expresses this beautifully.

"There are little eyes upon you and they're watching night and day.
There are little ears that quickly take in every word you say.
There are little hands all eager to do everything you do.
And a little child who's dreaming of the day he'll be like you."

6WS-Feeling Great...

Feeling Great...learning a new technique.

These 6 words for 6WordSaturday describes how I feel today.

I have been planning to create a squidoo lens to promote my products at zazzle store REFLECTIONS but kept postponing it as I didn't know how to upload the images as a link.Yesterday I found a useful lens describing the process of adding html to the text modules.I followed it to create my lens for Thank you photocards-Show your appreciation with thank you photocards.I knew nothing of html and all this was new to me.First the pictures didn't upload properly then redoing the process I got the hang of the technique of copying links and deleting unwanted html .After 3 hours of learning, creating and redoing I am feeling great, having learnt a new technique to make my blogging experience interesting.

Six reasons to make time to think

(I created this poster in corel photo paint)

" I make the time to think"

This is my six words to remember for this week
and these are the 6 reasons for it.

1.When you make time to think,
you gain clarity and focus.

2.When you make time to think,
you learn to set priorities.

3.When you make time to think,
you take better decisions.

4.When you make time to think,
you become less reactive.

5.When you make time to think,
you make better use of your time.

6.When you make time to think,
you will be inspired to think big.

Making the time to think is a winning strategy towards success.
Thinking and reflecting ensures you are on the right track,as there is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all.

Wishing all a wonderful weekend!

Six Word Saturday-Be Patient

BE PATIENT,
YOU WILL SEE RESULTS!

These are the words I am saying to myself as I work on my designs for my zazzle store REFLECTIONS.

Six Word Saturday hosted by Cate of showmyface is a great way to reflect on your feelings.
I happened to read it on Marisa's blog today and thought I will join in to express my feelings.
I was having trouble uploading designs to the store.Though I created the designs quickly the uploading process was painfully slow.I was creating designs for the new category introduced by zazzle a few days back.I thought an early start to join the new topic would help me improve my sales.I designed 10 thank you for the gift photcards yesterday and 5 new baby announcement photocards today. I hope they will be well received.

I will BE PATIENT,I WILL SEE RESULTS!

Few Sample of the designs

Thank you for the gift -lavender photocard

All the designs are available in 5 different colors.
