My 6 words for 6WS at show my face.

This is the 6 words of wisdom I learnt this week as I was creating my squidoo lens meditation challenge week-2.This is my 2nd lens on the 28 day meditation challenge conducted at awake is good by Janice Lynne Lundy.

These words are by Sharon Salzberg,one of the inspiring meditation teachers Jan introduced us to.

Why Meditate?

Meditation helps us on many levels, from simple relaxation to freedom from suffering and full liberation of heart and mind. It allows us to:

* defuse stress and experience greater calm
* explore the mind-body relationship
* connect to our feelings
* expand our sense of who we are, beyond our fears and self-judgment
* find genuine happiness
* discover inner resources that can change our everyday lives
* awaken our capacity for insight and wisdom
* transform our worldview from one of isolation and confusion to one of connection, clarity and compassion
* broaden our perspective and deepen our courage, based on seeing things just as they are

  1. I started yoga this week (for real, not just because everyone else was doing it like last time I 'started' yoga). I do it three times a day currently (and extra if my back hurts!) and I'm finding that one of my favorite things about yoga is the meditation part. I put on classical music and turn it down fairly low and just enjoy the stretches and the time alone, quiet. It's my new favorite way to really, truly relax.

  3. Your blog is always so vibrant and beautiful. My eyes always enjoy coming here.

    I meditate as a relaxation technique after a crazy day, just to drift off to sleep. I need to incorporate it elsewhere.
