The joy of sharing

Jamie's question this week at wishcasting is

what do you wish to share?

I wish to share my happiness of completing 99 posts....Just one more to my 100th post ! I had planned to thank my blog friends by designing and giving affirmart cards as my 100th post ,but jamie's question this week made me want to share my gratitude earlier.Wednesday wishcasting plays an important role in my blogging experience. It was with one wednesday wish that I started interacting with other bloggers and it has become one of my favorite rituals. It is a powerful way to make you think deeply of your values and your wishes.I have learnt a lot and grown as a person reading the wonderful posts of fellow bloggers.

Affirmations are Success statements which lock the right thoughts in your mind and right thinking drives right action.I have started designing a series of prints for my zazzle store REFLECTIONS under the title '3 word quotes'.These 3 word quotes are short and sweet to affirm,to inspire and to motivate you to success.I thought of sharing the designs with my friends to download and print them .I have designed 12 cards in a letterpad size 8.5"x 11".You can print and cut them along the thin outline to get 12 individual affirmart cards and use them as mood boosters.Just click on the image to open a larger image and save it to use as easy motivators .This is the first time I am uploading a large image and don't know if I have done it right. I would love to hear feedback on the image download and if anything is wrong then how to correct it.

Wishing all happiness and abundance in life

The Buddha's Words on Kindness

(image -digital photo of buddha statue I have at home)

K for Kindness

For this week's ABCwednesday challenge I am happy to share The Buddha's Words on Kindness (Metta Sutta) .

This is what should be done by one who is skilled in goodness,
And who knows the path of peace: Let them be able and upright,
Straightforward and gentle in speech.
Humble and not conceited,
Contented and easily satisfied.
Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways.
Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful,
Not proud and demanding in nature.
Let them not do the slightest thing
That the wise would later reprove.
Wishing: In gladness and in saftey,
May all beings be at ease.
Whatever living beings there may be;
Whether they are weak or strong, omitting none,
The great or the mighty, medium, short or small,
The seen and the unseen,
Those living near and far away,
Those born and to-be-born,
May all beings be at ease!

Let none deceive another,
Or despise any being in any state.
Let none through anger or ill-will
Wish harm upon another.
Even as a mother protects with her life
Her child, her only child,
So with a boundless heart
Should one cherish all living beings:
Radiating kindness over the entire world
Spreading upwards to the skies,
And downwards to the depths;
Outwards and unbounded,
Freed from hatred and ill-will.
Whether standing or walking, seated or lying down
Free from drowsiness,
One should sustain this recollection.
This is said to be the sublime abiding.
By not holding to fixed views,
The pure-hearted one, having clarity of vision,
Being freed from all sense desires,
Is not born again into this world.

Life is a jigsaw

( image created by me in Photoshop )

My word for ABCWEDNESDAY is

J for JIGSAW

”There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle”.

- Deepak Chopra

This quote beautifully explains our roles in life.
When something happens in our life that is not in accordance to our wishes we may be disturbed .But we must be assured that everthing happens for a reason and all the pieces of the jigsaw of our life will join in the end to create a beautiful picture.

Affirmations from blogs-2

This is my 2nd post in the series I plan to do weekly.

I wish to create a collection of affirmart cards using affirmations that stand out from great blogs, to remember the message long after reading the posts.
Here are 2 quotations from Diantha's Blog that inspired me to create this week's affirmart cards.

1. “I have absolute faith that the spirit of God within me gives me the power to forgive those who have brought me suffering past and present.”

The message

'I have the power of forgiveness'
to remind us that only when we forgive we can move on and we grow as a person when we forgive people who have hurt us .

2.It’s not what the world holds for you, it’s what you bring to it”.

The message

'I have the power of shaping'
to remind us that we have control over what happens in our life.We shape it with our values, thoughts and actions.

Diantha is a wonderful blog friend who has an inspiring blog 'lifepotentials' filled with messages to live our potential.

Mirror of our thoughts

“The eye speaks with an eloquence and truthfulness surpassing speech. It is the window out of which the winged thoughts often fly unwittingly. It is the tiny magic mirror on whose crystal surface the moods of feeling fitfully play, like the sunlight and shadow on a still stream”.

~ Henry Theodore Tuckerman

This is my quotation this week to share for Sunday Citar.
I created the image in photoshop for this quotation.

Six reasons to make time to think

(I created this poster in corel photo paint)

" I make the time to think"

This is my six words to remember for this week
and these are the 6 reasons for it.

1.When you make time to think,
you gain clarity and focus.

2.When you make time to think,
you learn to set priorities.

3.When you make time to think,
you take better decisions.

4.When you make time to think,
you become less reactive.

5.When you make time to think,
you make better use of your time.

6.When you make time to think,
you will be inspired to think big.

Making the time to think is a winning strategy towards success.
Thinking and reflecting ensures you are on the right track,as there is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all.

Wishing all a wonderful weekend!

3 sources of inspiration

My word for this week at ABCwednesday is

I for Inspiration

3 sources to inspire yourself are...

Reading
Reading good inspiring books and articles will transform you to look above your anxieties and the experiences you read about will mold your mind to think from different angles.
Your inspiration is in your thoughts.

Writing
Write down your thoughts when you are lacking in confidence and as you express yourself freely you will gain insights to what is troubling your mind .When there is clarity you can inspire yourself to success.
Your inspiration is in your hands.

Affirming
Repeating Affirmations is an effective way to state who we want to become, what we choose to experience and how we want to be in the world. They are our spoken intentions,so turn your desire into an affirmation.
Your inspiration is in your words.

Quoting Mahatma Gandhi,
"We must be the change we wish to see",
the inspiration begins within us.

Affirm-mantra for this week-one step at a time

This week I have a lot of work to complete and the thought is overwhelming me.
I hope repeating my affirm-mantra for this week

one step at a time

will help me acheive my goals this week.

Writing down the list of works to be done will help to give a sense of control and breaking them into smaller tasks and creating checklists should help you finish them!

I will take..
one step at a time
and finish my work on time.

I am happy to share the sale of my AIM HIGH postcards at REFLECTIONS yesterday.

Yesterday I had done a post for SWS -Be patient, you will see results.
Today I was happy to receive a mail from zazzle that my red flower postage has been chosen as one of todays best designs.

Yes,It's Dawn!
However long the night, the dawn will break.

Here is the postage that I designed, which you can buy at my zazzle store REFLECTIONS.

Six Word Saturday-Be Patient

BE PATIENT,
YOU WILL SEE RESULTS!

These are the words I am saying to myself as I work on my designs for my zazzle store REFLECTIONS.

Six Word Saturday hosted by Cate of showmyface is a great way to reflect on your feelings.
I happened to read it on Marisa's blog today and thought I will join in to express my feelings.
I was having trouble uploading designs to the store.Though I created the designs quickly the uploading process was painfully slow.I was creating designs for the new category introduced by zazzle a few days back.I thought an early start to join the new topic would help me improve my sales.I designed 10 thank you for the gift photcards yesterday and 5 new baby announcement photocards today. I hope they will be well received.

I will BE PATIENT,I WILL SEE RESULTS!

Few Sample of the designs

Thank you for the gift -lavender photocard

All the designs are available in 5 different colors.

"Due to unforeseeable circumstances , the pictures which were in picasa drives were deleted.

I am in the process of updating the whole site.

If you see something missing, come back in a few days to experience "AffirmArt" in its fullest.
